Take a walk back in history with the 45th Infantry Division Museum.It is a really special  place with some absolutely amazing historical items. I believe every Oklahoma should see this place at least a bazillion times in their life!! Warning…Admission is free….FREE!!  http://www.45thdivisionmuseum.com/

Did you know the last General to surrender during the Civil war was an Oklahoman named Stand Watie. He was also the only Native American to reach the rank of general on either side. His commission papers are at the 45th. Way Cool!!

Would you like to take your kids to a historic frontier day’s cavalry fort?  Try Fort Reno in El Reno. You can pack up a picnic and go tour the fort and grounds then head over to Lake El Reno for a swim. The cost for this outing is free…FREE!!

  1. The 45th infantry museum looks especially interesting! Too bad there are two states in between us Oklahoma! All great entertainment.
