Have you ever wondered where each penny of your dollars worth of gasoline goes?
I remember as a child my mother complaining about how expensive gasoline was. I wish I was younger but it was .69 cents a gallon. She said “it won’t be long and it will be $1.00 a gallon”. Being a silly kid I thought “that will be easier to figure”.
Mom, I was wrong!!
I did some looking and here is what I found…
The average cost for a gallon of gogo juice in 1980 was $1.22.
The breakdown of your gas dollar is
Taxes .13 cents
Distribution and Marketing .08 cents
Crude Oil .65 cents
The cost for a barrel of sweet light crude is $98.21 and heavy crude Blah blah blah…
Who cares!! We are getting had. Big oil uses this thing they call “Supply and Demand” to justify their rising prices. Did you know last week E
xxon posted profits of $10.7 (get ready for this) BILLION DOLLARS!!!
Here is what we should do… “NoNo juice days”!!
Come on people Vin Diesel has 21 million Facebook Followers. If CCCS had that many we could MAKE the oil companies lower gas prices. Just think if 21 million people Said NoNO to GoGo juice and parked their cars for a few days… You would really be sticking it to big oil!! I’m just sayin…
